Tender Description
Welcome to the University of Sydney Open Tender.
Facilities Management (FM) Reactive Services Panel Expansion for the University of Sydney
The key objectives of this procurement activity are to identify the service providers with the capabilities and resources to adequately meet University's FM requirements.
HIGH-LEVEL BUSINESS SCOPE/ REQUIREMENTS:
The University has developed a program of small to medium-sized projects to be delivered over the next 2 years ranging from Mechanical / HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing renewal, and upgrades, with works ranging from $5k to $500k, these works are known as the Deferred Maintenance Programme.
Works include but are not limited to, Mechanical systems upgrades, Lighting upgrades, and general improvement to building Services.
OVERVIEW OF PANEL CONSTRUCT:
Tenderers successful through this RFT process will be engaged onto a panel, consisting of preferred service providers only, providing the maximum opportunity of work for those selected.
As it is critical that the panel size, composition, and resource experience match the University's requirements, the selection of preferred panel service providers will depend on both the tenderer's ranking during evaluation and a balance of the projected needs of the University
Post-establishment of the Panel works will be allocated to panel members based on the demonstrated capability to meet the requirements of a specific project/requirement. Panel members would be engaged, as required for a specific project, either:
(i) Directly or competitively quoted between members on the panel and appointed thereafter; or
(ii) Directly on RFT submitted rates for undefined projects
Suppliers requested to quote for a specific event will be allocated a certain time period for the submission of the proposal for each respective project. Suppliers that submit a proposal post the closing date will not be considered for the respective project and will be required to justify reasoning as to the non-submission. Proposals will be assessed by the University and the successful Supplier for that particular project will be notified upon selection within a communicated time frame.
Depending on the requirements and size of the particular project, the University reserves the right to request a quote/tender from selected Panel members deemed most appropriate to undertake the works.
In order to be successful we require all bidders to have the ability to meet the commercial, functional and technical requirements of the University including:
(i) to the extent that they are relevant to the services the subject of this RFT, compliance with the University's policies which can be viewed and downloaded;
