The "Centennial Parklands Skywalk Project" is part of the Glen Innes Severn Councils (GISC) Master Plan for the Centennial Parklands site.
Centennial Parklands is the home of the Australian Standing Stones and open space site for the annual Australian Celtic Festival conducted annually in May.

The Skywalk will create a new regional tourism and local active participation attraction integrating Celtic and Ngoorabul cultures and Geo-Tourism aspects around an elevated walk and view platform at a high-vantage point overlooking Glen Innes.
Importantly, the Skywalk will include experiential offerings by way of interpretive signage and linkages to the other visitor experiences within Centennial Parklands and this includes the Indigenous history of the place as well as European history, i.e., Australian Standing Stones.
