Tender Description
On behalf of the Principals, Bowen Basin Regional Roads & Transport Group (BBRRTG) requests Tenders from suitably qualified Contractors for a single Contractor to supply and deliver bitumen reseals and seals on designated roads, as part of the Principals’ 2022/23 bitumen reseal program.
The Principals require a Contractor to supply bitumen reseal services on various sites within the Principals’ road network in accordance with the Specification.
All fees and charges necessary for the successful completion of the works shall be deemed to be included in the Tender prices and rates. This includes all costs associated with the administrative management and full site supervision necessary for the successful Tenderer to fulfil all of its obligations including but not limited to those referenced as well as any and all other matters incidental to undertaking bitumen sealing of the Principals’ road pavement. A brief summary scope of works is shown below:
• Seal design
• Provision for traffic
• Installation of temporary raised pavement markers (TRPMs)
• Supply, cart, incorporate, heat & spray bitumen / cutter / adhesion agent
• Supply & delivery of precoated cover aggregate
• Load, spread & roll cover aggregate
• Post-spread sweeping & removal of aggregate
• Post works signage
• Construction / management of stockpile sites
Preparatory works to the existing road surface for reseals, public consultation and pavement / linemarking is not within the scope of this Contract and will be carried out by the Principal.
