Tender Description

SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATION

The following summary indicates the general nature of the Works for which The Principal desires Tenders to be submitted and is issued to enable Contractors to make an assessment whether the Specification documents should be obtained from The Principal for the purpose of submitting a tender response. It does not form part of the Specification and should not be included as part of the Tenderer's offer.

PURPOSE OF WORK

The works required under this contract will cover the Plumbing, Drainage and Sewerage Works at Vales Point Power Station for a three (3) year period.

LOCATION OF SITE

The Vales Point Power Station is located on the southern shore of Lake Macquarie, approximately 130 km north of Sydney, New South Wales, and approximately 3 km off the Pacific Highway North of Doyalson.

EXTENT OF WORK

The Contractor must undertake the Works under the Contract, inclusive of the repair, modification and installation of plumbing and drainage systems and maintenance works on the Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) at the Facility for a three (3) year period from the 1 November 2022 to the 31 October 2025. The Works also include the design, repair and installation of PP systems at the Facility.

a) The Contractor must repair, modify and install plumbing and drainage systems as and when requested via Work Direction by the Principal.

This includes, but is not limited to:

(i) Repairs to toilets, wash basins, drains and sewage chokes;

Note: in some cases, industrial gatic cover removal may be required to access sewage chokes.

(ii) Installation and repair of hot water services; and

(iii) Installation and repair of above and under-bench boiling water units.

The Contractor must attend the Facility within two (2) hours of being requested by the Principal for general emergency works or 12 hours for standard call outs.

b) The Contractor must undertake general mechanical maintenance works on the STP at the Facility. This works may include but not be limited to the following:

(i) Grinding;

(ii) Pump Replacement;

(iii) Pump Overhauls;

(iv) Welding;

(v) Machining;

(vi) General Fabrication; and

(vii) Lubrication and Greasing.

The Works may require access to confined space including access to the sewerage pits.

INSPECTION OF SITE

All Tenderers must attend a mandatory pre-tender meeting to be conducted at 10.00 am on Friday the 17 June 2022. Companies who do not attend the mandatory pre-tender meeting will not be eligible to submit a Tender.

Visitors to the Site must provide and wear their own safety hats, safety footwear, protective safety eyewear (clear glasses), long sleeved shirts (hi-vis) and long trousers or combination overalls (hi-vis).

It is expected that all companies have downloaded and reviewed all documents pertaining to the works prior to the site inspection.

Tenderers wishing to attend the pre-tender site inspection must contact the request manager at least 24 hours prior to the meeting to register their intention to attend
