Western Distributor Smart Motorway

⁠⁠⁠Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is seeking an Alliance Contractor for the delivery of the upgrade of 5.5km of the Western Distributor between ANZAC bridge and Warringah Freeway to a Level 1A Smart Motorway. The project is referred to as the Western Distributor Smart Motorway (WDSM).

Registrations of Interest (ROI) are invited from pre-qualified contractors with Transport for NSW under the National Prequalification Scheme class (or higher) R5, B4, and F50 for an Alliance Contractor to deliver the WDSM project. This work consists of all Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) works including new gantries, installation of variable speeds and lane use management signs, installation of incident detection and CCTV, installation of conduits, pits and cabling, new static directional signs, site testing and commissioning, end to end testing, pavement resurfacing and line marking, transition to operations planning and asset handover.

The successful tenderer will be selected through a two-phase procurement process. The first phase requires applicants to submit this ROI. A short list of two applicants will then be selected from this ROI process and invited to tender for the work.

All applicants must comply with the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework (NSW Framework), NSW Government Supplier Code of Conduct (NSW Code) and New South Wales Industrial Relations Guidelines: Building and Construction Procurement (NSW Guidelines).

It is a requirement for this project that the successful contractor be accredited under the Australian Government Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme (the Scheme) at the time of entering into the contract for ‘building work’ for the Project and must maintain accreditation under the Scheme while the ‘building work’ is being carried out. ROI briefing

A mandatory ROI briefing will be held at 9:30am on Wednesday 01 June 2022 (1 Hour) via Microsoft Teams. Potential applicants are to confirm their attendance in writing to Adrian.pearse@transport.gov.au no later than 24 hours prior to the briefing. A potential ROI Applicant may be represented at the briefing by a maximum of three (3) people. Calendar invites will be issued shortly after the cut off time.

Written questions about the ROI Invitation may be submitted before the briefing. Questions are to be submitted no later than 24 hours prior to the briefing to Adrian.pearse@transport.gov.au. Questions received after this cut off time may not be addressed.
