Somerset Regional Council Esk Administration Building Works

Somerset Regional Council covers an area of approximately 5,382 square kilometres. There are five main towns in the region, they are: Kilcoy, Toogoolawah, Esk, Lowood and Fernvale. There are a number of other smaller communities throughout the region. The southern boundary of the region borders Ipswich City Council. The main administration office for the Council is in Esk.

The address of the Main Office is 2 Redbank Street Esk. There are a number of other buildings in Esk associated with the operations of Council on the same parcel of land or nearby. Council’s largest Depot is also close by in Heap Street.

The Esk Administration Building was constructed in two parts with the eastern end of the building being constructed some time prior to 1940 and the western end of the building being constructed in 1984/85. The internal layout of the building has altered many times due to expansion of staff numbers. The building is currently used by approximately 65 staff.
