Tender Description

Capital Health Network (CHN) is seeking an Expression of Interest (EOI) from an allied health service provider in the ACT to work collaboratively with CHN and an evaluation institute in the planning and service delivery of the ACT Breathlessness Intervention Service (ABIS). ABIS will be modelled on the multi-disciplinary Cambridge Breathlessness Intervention Service. This home service is an evidence-based intervention which supports people to self-manage breathlessness, using predominantly non-pharmacological approaches working in partnership with primary care and specialist support. The 12-month pilot will aim to support patients who have life-limiting illness with advanced disease. These patients would be in the palliative stage of their illness suffering debilitating breathlessness and are supported by optimal medical management of the underlying disease.

CHN is inviting applications from potential providers to:

  • Work collaboratively with CHN and an evaluation institute to support the development of the ACT service model and evaluation of the service.
  • Liaise with primary care and specialist healthcare in service development and delivery.
  • Participate in meetings throughout the planning and service delivery phases.
  • Engage with CHN and the evaluation institute for the 18-month duration of the program which includes 12-months of service delivery.

Collected data will be used by CHN’s commissioned external evaluation institute to assess program efficiency and satisfy reporting requirements to Department of Health.

The EOI process commences Monday, 23 May 2022. The closing date and time for this EOI is 5pm, Thursday, 16 June 2022. All applications must be submitted on the Response Form to tenders@chnact.org.au. (You can request the Response Form as a Word doc by emailing tenders@chnact.org.au.) Questions and requests for information must be submitted in writing to tenders@chnact.org.au.
