Tender Description
Alexandrina Council (ABN 20 785 405 351) of 11 Cadell St, Goolwa, SA, 5214 (the Council) invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of Master Plans for each of the townships of Port Elliot, Middleton and Milang (the Services). The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer ('s).
Council is seeking to engage a consultancy team (‘s) that can work collaboratively with them to develop an innovative Master Plan for each of the townships of Port Elliot, Middleton and Milang. During significant community engagement by Council during 2021 it has become evident that the townships of Port Elliot, Middleton and Milang each need an overarching document to clearly define and prioritise particular actions to ensure the desired future character and enhancements sought for the town can be achieved.
This has been further resolved following a resolution of Council at their 19 April 2022 meeting in which it was carried unanimously that work commence on the scoping and tender process within the 2021/22 financial year and the Master Plan be completed by December 2022.
Broadly it is expected that the Master Plan will address the following:
- Population and housing;
- Land use and development;
- Township character and amenity;
- Physical infrastructure needs;
- Community facilities and services; and
- Environmental considerations
It is envisaged that the plan will not be exclusively in a printed document form but rather an electronic and spatially applied plan that utilises mapping, graphics and streetscape montages to enable a visual expression of the community’s aspirations.
