Enterprise/Business/Program/Platform/Solution Architects (multiple)

⁠⁠⁠The Department of Agriculture, Water, and the Environment (DAWE) requires the services of Enterprise, Business, Program, Platform, and solution Architects. They will join teams to plan and manage the delivery of various capabilities and systems for DAWE. The department is seeking to continue its modernisation agenda, implementation of guardrails to empower delivery teams and progression into the Azure cloud environment.

The Architects will have proven track records of accomplishment in delivering enterprise solutions in accordance with program and project goals and budgets and departmental roadmaps, policies, processes, frameworks, and standards.

The responsibilities of the Architect include:

• Understanding business needs of Agriculture, Water, and the Environment users.
• Understanding existing systems used within DAWE.
• Understanding of how the business needs and DAWE’s existing systems impact on the architecture domain.
• Develop and keep up to date the Reference Architecture for various domains, covering current, transition state and target architectures, policies, principles, and patterns that in-house and contracted development and operations teams are required to comply with.
• Providing expert advice to development and operations teams.
• Working collaboratively with the broader architect community in DAWE sharing skills and architectures.
• Presenting in showcases and governance forums.
• Assisting the Chief Enterprise Architect to develop and mature the Digital Enabling Architecture practice for DAWE.
