TasWater PDG intends to construct a new Treated Water Storage (TWS) inlet pipeline at the Smithton WTP with the current common TWS inlet/outlet pipe becoming a dedicated outlet pipe to the Treated Water Pumping Station. As part of the pipework construction, a new TWS bypass pipeline (linking the new TWS inlet pipe to the outlet pipe) and a filter to waste line pipeline (linking the new TWS inlet to the Stormwater drainage system) must also be constructed by the Contractor.

The new TWS inlet will contain a new flowmeter, static mixer, analyser sample offtake line and analyser sample pump to allow chemicals (lime, chlorine and fluoride) to be accurately dosed into the new TWS inlet line.

The Contract Work scope includes the supply, fabrication, delivery, installation, construction, integration, testing and commissioning necessary to provide a fully completed and functional Treated Water Storage Inlet Works at the Smithton WTP

The site location on which the Work under the Contract must be undertaken is Deep Creek WTP, at 63 Brittons Rd, Smithton TAS 7330
