ABOUT THE COUNCIL:
Stretching from Palm Beach to Manly, the Northern Beaches boasts more than half of all the beaches in Sydney and a population of more than 266,000. The Council is committed to maintaining a high level of customer service to the local community.
Northern Beaches Council is working closely with the community to build strategies that enhance our quality of life, promote sustainable development and protect our environment.
SERVICE REQUIRED:
The Northern Beaches Coast Walk spans 36km of coastline between Manly and Palm Beach. Northern Beaches Council is currently developing the Coast Walk as a continuous path along beachfronts and spectacular headlands, through residential communities and coastal villages. Permanent public artworks will be delivered as part of this larger Coast Walk project.
This project is an opportunity for an artist to create a major public artwork at Robert Dunn Reserve (South Mona Vale Headland) in Mona Vale.
EVALUATION CRITERIA:
The evaluation criteria for this tender are:
CRITERIA WEIGHTING:
Demonstrated experience in the design, construction and installation of high-quality or significant public artworks as evidenced by supporting documentation 40%
Understanding of the project and the desired outcome 30%
Experience working with key stakeholders such as local government, community groups, landscape designers, engineers and fabricators 30%
