Package Summary
OZ Minerals Musgrave Operations Pty Ltd (OZ Minerals) requires the services of an experienced and suitably qualified drilling services provider to undertake exploration drilling, followed by the construction of dewatering, production and monitoring bores at the West Musgrave Site. This work follows on from previous drilling and hydrogeological testing to prove a water supply for the life of the West Musgrave Nebo and Babel deposit mining operations.
The drilling programme of works is planned to commence in the second half of 2022, with a brief overview of the scope of works as follows:
a) Construction of approximately 12 production wells of nominal 12-inch casing diameter, with approximately 70m of screening drilled to a nominal depth of 200m (Pidinga formation aquifer), within the Northern Borefield area.
b) 14 combined production and dewatering bores of nominal 10-inch diameter, fully screened and drilled to a nominal depth of 80m (Garford aquifer), within the Nebo mining precinct.
c) 17 observation wells of nominal 4-inch casing diameter in the Northern Borefield.
d) 38 monitoring wells of nominal 4-inch casing diameter and an average nominal depth of 40m drilled at various locations around the West Musgrave Site.
