Media Monitoring and Analysis Services
Tender ID: 491509
Tender Details
Tender Description
The Department of Energy and Public Works (DEPW) is issuing this forward notice to advise interested parties of an upcoming tender to establish a Preferred Supplier Panel (PSP) to provide media monitoring and analysis services. The PSP will be available for use by customers from across the Queensland Government and other approved entities.
The Suppliers must have a Copyright Agency License to be able to apply for the upcoming tender.
Suppliers tendering for this proposed PSP must be able to deliver all of the following services: core media monitoring (print, broadcast and online), social media monitoring, media reporting and analytics through a digital media monitoring platform.
Please note:
- media monitoring includes the monitoring of editorial content of news sources including newspapers, magazines, trade journals, television, radio stations and the Internet;
- in addition to monitoring news, many organisations now also monitor social media. Social media is a set of online technologies, sites and practices which are used to share opinions, experiences and perspectives. Social media is different from traditional media – such as print, television and radio – as it’s not a broadcast medium; and
- media reporting and analytics collects and analyses audience data from media and social networks and can be used to measure how well an organisation is serving its customers and to improve strategic business decisions.
In addition to the required services as specified above, Suppliers may also offer value added services, including but not limited to media outlet journalist database and media release distribution tool, media training, access to historical data and translation services etc.
Out-of-scope: Services that only monitor social media are out-of-scope for this project. These are typically ICT software-as-a-service (SAAS) solutions, designed to manage and workflow customer engagement through social media. Currently, there is no whole-of-government arrangement for these services. Customers may engage any supplier of stand-alone social media monitoring as they see fit following their internal procurement policies and guidance.
It is expected that offer documentation will be available in June 2022 .
