Big Canberra Battery Project Stream 2: Government Sites - Small Batteries.

⁠⁠⁠The purpose of this Advance Tender notice is to provide suppliers with advance notification of a procurement project that is in development by the Territory.

The Territory seeks to engage a qualified and experienced Supplier to provide behind-the-meter battery energy storage systems (BESS), at up to 10 Territory owned and operated Sites.

The Supplier will be required to:

1. design and supply the BESS (less than roughly 60 kWh);
2. install, optimise, commission and certify the BESS; and
3. provide decommissioning and all end-of life provisions for the installed BESS.

Supplier’s will be required to be an approved battery retailer under the Next Generation Energy Storage Program (Mandatory Requirement).

This is one of two upcoming projects for battery installations at Government Sites.

The other project will be for large battery installations (up to roughly 450 kWh) at up to four sites, and the supply and installation of solar panels at one of these sites.
