This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The Digital Services Division (DSD) is responsible for enabling information and communication technology (ICT) functions and activities in the Department. The Technology Infrastructure Branch (TIB) provides key services across a range of areas within the Department. These include support and management of core IT Systems, Change management and IT vendor management.
The Platform Services Section in the ITB is seeking a Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME) Engineer to undertake the following activities:
• Administration of various Linux platforms and operating environments across the DAWE organisation
• Administration and management of Cloud, AWS + Azure; Compute, Networking, Patching etc
• Develop code and configuration such as Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash, Puppet
• Use and maintain several git products (on-prem Gitlab, GitHub and more).
Please note, flexible working arrangements are supported by the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment while COVID restrictions or staged return to workplace conditions are in place, but under normal circumstances there is an expectation that the role will be undertaken onsite in Canberra.
