Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Gladstone Regional Council (GRC) requires a suitably qualified Contractor to successfully complete the following at the existing cemetery at the Boyne Tannum Memorial Parklands (BTMP):

• Columbarium Wall – design and construct a columbarium wall with burial niches complete with adjoining pathway, seating and landscaping.

• Passenger Drop Off Point – Construct a passenger drop off point near the Chapel to assist the more vulnerable people such as the elderly and mobility impaired when attending funeral services.

• Carpark Upgrades - undertake dust suppression and delineation marking in the overflow carpark to assist with maximizing capacity of the overflow carpark.

The works include but are not limited to the following activities:

• site establishment;

• clearing and grubbing;

• site preparation;

• traffic management (for construction & stand down);

• civil and earthworks;

• hardscape works;

• landscaping; and

• seating.

While the site is freely accessible to the public, a Tenderer must NOT gain access between the hours of 8:30am – 4pm due to services, burials or ashes internment that may be held. A Tenderer may request to inspect the site during these hours, however a minimum of three (3) days’ notice is required. GRC may reject the request, or be required to cancel a site inspection to ensure there are no disturbance during any services, burials or ashes internment. Such request must be emailed to contracts@gladstone.qld.gov.au and included attendees name/s. Once arrangement and approval has been made the Tenderers shall carry out their own inspection of the site during the tender period.
