Creative Opportunity: Spin Fest

⁠⁠⁠Wollongong City Council is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from artists, set designers or sculptors to design, create and fabricate a suite of up to 12 movable creative installations.

The pieces will form part of Spin Fest - an exciting cultural program to be held across the Wollongong area in September 2022.

Spin Fest will run alongside the UCI Road World Championships. As 1,000 of the world’s best cyclists compete right here in Wollongong, our city will come alive with a free program of music, art, entertainment, food, fun, and of course… cycling!

Proudly produced by Wollongong City Council, the Spin Fest program will have something for everyone, from BMX to beach parties.

To help build excitement in our public spaces, beaches and parks, Council is seeking a suite of unique decorative installations that can be moved and installed at each of the varied event precincts.

This EOI invites artists, set designers or sculptors to submit a proposal to develop up to 12 visually striking moveable installations in the proposed theme of Spin. Based on this EOI, an artist or group of artists will be selected to produce all installations.

A budget of up to $40,000 is available.
