The City of Cockburn (The Principal) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to extend and build an existing carpark which includes but not limited to stormwater drainage, civil carpark, electrical, irrigation, landscaping & planting elements.

The construction period is twelve (12) weeks.

This extended public carpark is to be constructed on Lot 125L Poletti Road, Cockburn Central.

Part of the design of this carpark has been in consultation with the neighbouring developer Bethesda on Lots 11 and 19 Legacy Way, Cockburn Central in which, there are expectations and agreements surrounding the access between this proposed extended carpark and the proposed developed on their property.

As part of the agreements in place.

1. Items that must be ready by 30th June 2022:

• 74 parking bays of the proposed carpark nearest Bethesda Development
• Pedestrian & Vehicular access into the Bethesda Development

2. Items that must be ready before 30th Sept 2022:

• Additional 38bays of the proposed carpark nearest Bethesda Development

The planned opening for the Bethesda Development is mid Sept 2022.

The below items must be completed and available for public use prior to the opening of Bethesda’s Development.

• 112 parking bays nearest Bethesda Development
• Pedestrian & Vehicular access between this carpark & Bethesda’s Carpark

Please note all pricing maybe shared with Bethesda and/or their representatives to finalise the agreement the City of Cockburn has with the developer.

The Contract is expected to commence in early June 2022.

TENDER BRIEFING / SITE INSPECTION – MANDATORY
Attendance at this meeting is mandatory.

Failure to attend this briefing will render the Tenderer ineligible to submit a Tender.

Tenderers are required to attend a Tender briefing on:

• Wednesday, 13th April 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am (AWST).

The location of the meeting is at:

• Lot 125L Poletti Road, Cockburn Central.

Note: Attendees to the Mandatory Site meeting are to adhere to the following requirements:

• do not utilise street parking.
  
• do not park on the side of the street / verge.
• only use public carparking.

The briefing will provide Tenderers with the opportunity to clarify any uncertainties with the Principal prior to the closing of the Tender.
