The Principal is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to perform the supply, inspection, testing and preventative maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment throughout multiple Principal owned facilities within the Principal’s municipal boundaries. The proposed term of the resultant Contract is two years, with three options to extend being 3 years, 1 year and up to 12 months.

Services required under this contract may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Maintenance of fire services in accordance with applicable Australian Standards;
• Maintenance and improvement to the levels of the systems performance, reliability and availability;
• Development and maintenance of a maintenance record system;
• Provision of a single point of responsibility for maintenance; and
• Provision of effective breakdown call out response and rectification.

The scope intends to cater for all fire systems and equipment maintenance requirements. Any work which would reasonably fall within the scope of a contract of this nature, does so. Any work which is not included in the price schedule, will be quoted by the Contractor at the hourly rates provided, plus materials and equipment mark-up. Any prices obtained in the course of quoting for additional work may be added to the Contract by variation, upon agreement by both parties.

The Contractor shall supply all required materials to perform the Works as specified and keep the fire systems in full working order. Replacement parts shall be of the same manufacturer as the original equipment, unless otherwise approved by the Principal. All faulty parts shall be replaced.
