ABOUT THE CITY OF LAKE MACQUARIE:
Lake Macquarie is the Hunter Region's largest city, accounting for 38% of the Lower Hunter population. With the city's current population fast approaching 205,000 Lake Macquarie is also the third largest regional city in New South Wales by population. Moreover, the city's population is expected to grow by 28,000 by 2036, creating a demand for 13,500 new dwellings and associated infrastructure.
ABOUT THE TENDER:
Lake Macquarie City Council (Council) regularly reviews both its vacant and improved residential property assets to identify what is capable of being placed on the open market for sale.
Council is now seeking submissions from suitably licenced, qualified and professional real estate agencies to promote and sell these identified land assets to maximise the commercial return for the City and its residents. The appointment of a single agency or network to service the Lake Macquarie Local Government area is proposed.
The successful agency or network will be responsible for the appropriate marketing of the properties and conduct all negotiations on behalf of, and in accordance with, Council instructions.
Council has identified some 25-35 residential properties for sale over the next 3-4 years. The properties are predominately located on the northern and western districts of Lake Macquarie. These properties comprise predominately vacant land sites located in existing residential areas or comprises small subdivisions which might contain up to 15 lots.
The appointment of the agency will be for an initial period of 3 years with 2 x 12-month extension options available at the sole discretion of Council and also subject to the suitable past performance and contractual obligations being met.
ENQUIRIES: Tender enquiries should be directed to Sasha Buckley, the Tender Project Officer via the online forum. Completed responses can be submitted via the electronic tender box, or in a sealed envelope. The envelope is to be endorsed with the Tender number, title, and closing date and can be mailed or placed in the Tender Box located in Councils Administration Building, Ground Floor, 126-138 Main Road, Speers Point by the nominated time and date.
TENDERERS TO NOTE: In the preparation and submission of the tender and without limiting the Tenderers obligations, the Tenderer shall submit a tender which includes all Schedules including the Tenderers Declaration Schedule and any other declaration required completely filled in and signed, together with any other documents, information and details necessary to make the tender complete. The tenderer shall not submit a tender without a firm intention to proceed nor engage in any form of collusive practice not directly or indirectly canvass support from an elected member or employee of Council at any time.
