Supply and Application of Bitumen Sealing Works

⁠⁠⁠The Shire of Broome (the Shire) is seeking to appoint a competent contractor to supply and application of bitumen sealing services in the Shire of Broome.

This specification covers the supply of materials, design and application of sprayed seals for roads and related applications and includes the following types of sprayed treatments:

(a) Prime;
(b) Double Sprayed Seal:
(c) Single Sprayed Re Seal:

The sealing applications are to be carried out in accordance with the specifications, and generally as per Main Roads Western Australia and AUSTROADS latest requirements.

This Contract may call for any of the scheduled sealing services to be carried over the 36-month contract period. Based on previous annual works programs, it is expected that around six (6) discrete lots of work will be required to be performed annually to fulfil the annual works program. Approximate square meter quantities are nominated as an indication of the amount of seal that may be required in any 12-month period during the Contract based on current rates.

(a) Supply & spray 50/50 primer 6,000 m2
(b) Supply & Spray 2 coats Double (14mm, 7mm) 6,000 m2
(c) Supply & Spray single coat (Generally 14mm, 10mm in carparks) 50,000 m2

All of the above amounts including lots of work are dependant on Grant Funding / capital works programs and allocations and should be used as guide only. The Principal does not guarantee the amounts quoted, estimated lots of work or the types of treatments nominated.
