Western Power is a Western Australian State Government owned corporation which is responsible for building, maintaining and operating an electricity network which connects over 1.1 million customers to traditional and renewable energy sources.

The Scope
Western Power is seeking registrations of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations, for the provision of PPE. Western Power (in line with recent Government initiatives) will be targeting local businesses that can demonstrate their capability and capacity to meet the requirements of the scope. Evaluation criteria may be aimed at local business to promote growth in this emerging industry.

Western Power is seeking supply and delivery of PPE that meets the following criteria:

• Supply of off-the-shelf Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that meet the Western Power Technical Specification.
• All supplied products must meet the relevant Australian and/or International Standards.
• Supply as a minimum the current manufacturers test certification, together with any specific documentation associated with the supplied products.
• Ability to design and update a PDF Western Power Specific Catalogue.
• Occasion to supply Personal Protective Clothing (PPC) as and when required.
• Ability to supply and maintain PPE/PPC Vending Machines specific to Western Power requirements.
• Ability to adapt and develop electronic interfaces with Western Power as required.
• Delivery of PPE Free into Store (FIS) to Western Power metropolitan and regional depots and locations, excluding Waroona and Kalbarri (refer to -Table 1 Location Map below); and
• Supply and delivery in accordance with lead times.

Western Power reserves the right to not proceed with any of the registrations put forward as part of the process and provide the solutions internally by the network.

Next Steps:
Western Power will review and evaluate the registrations received against the scope requirements. If successful, the shortlisted registrants would then be progressed and invited to submit an Expression of Interest and/or a Request for Proposal. Western Power notes that registered organisations may receive an invitation to attend a webinar at some stage during the ROI. Participation in the webinar is optional and non-attendance will not negatively affect your organisations submission.
