Tender Description
Maranoa Regional Council invites suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to submit a fixed price lump sum, and supporting documentation, for the design and construction of a new bridge at Muggins Lane, Yuleba Qld 4427, in accordance with the specification.
A summary of the brief for the replacement bridge is as follows:
• Design and construction of a replacement bridge, immediately upstream of the existing structure
• Design of a cantilever walkway on one side of the structure, which can be constructed with the bridge or at a later date
• Single span bridge, with similar height to existing structure
• Total width of the bridge, including the cantilever walkway to be within the maximum ten (10) metre clearing allowance
• Retention of the existing Muggins Lane bridge due to its heritage value
• Serviceable bridge life: 100 years (minimum)
• Load capacity sufficient for traffic loading as described in AS5100.2-2017 Bridge Design Loads
• Design and construction of unsealed road approaches to connect the new bridge with the existing Muggins Lane roadway.
