Lockyer Valley Regional Council (LVRC) is seeking a Contractor to undertake asphalt pavement, asphalt correction, Bitumen SAMI Seal and asphalt surfacing works to Gehrke Road, Plainlands from Barcoo Dr heading north for approximately 370m.

The works requires widening on both sides which will require a 1.2m profiler and pavement to be replaced with EME2. Areas within the traffic lanes have lost form and will need to be brought back to level, this is to be corrected using AC10. A Bitumen SAMI seal to be placed over the entire surface prior to an AC14 overlay. Due to the location of the works and traffic composition, the works are to be completed at night.

The sealing works are to comply with the Technical Specification – ‘Transport and Main Roads Specifications MRTS11 Sprayed Bituminous Treatments (Excluding Emulsion)’ – current version, ‘MRTS18 Polymer Modified Binder (including Crumb Rubber)’ – current version, ‘MRTS22 - Supply of Cover Aggregate – current version’, ‘MRTS30 Asphalt Pavements’ – current version and ‘MRTS32 High Modulus Asphalt (EME2)” – current version.
