Western Australia (WA) Police Force has very, complex and integrated ICT environment with over 150 applications and more than 500 databases. Collating and consolidating data from multiple sources, an Enterprise Data Estate (Data Lake), has been set up to capture structured and unstructured data. This facilitates analysis, streamline the ability to form connections across the data and reduce the time required to generate outcomes from interrogating data, and enabling authorized end users to create and run real-time high-performance reports as required.

Essential to achieving this outcome, the WA Police Force is seeking to purchase licencing for a Change Data Capture Solution to provide the processes and files required to effectively move data across a variety of topologies, and to optimise the way the data is organised. The change data capture tool will provide real-time or near-real-time movement of data by moving and processing data continuously as new database events occur.
