Tender Description

The Queensland Government is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from contractor(s) to build Pimpama station, the first of three new Gold Coast stations to be delivered through the transformational Cross River Rail project.

The station is intended to be undertaken as a Design and Construct model, providing an opportunity for collaboration between the Queensland Government and the contractor to provide innovative and value-for-money outcomes.
Selection of a contractor to undertake the delivery of the Project will involve the following two-stage procurement process being an Expression of Interest Phase followed by an Early Contractor Involvement Phase scheduled to run from April to November 2022, followed by Contract award in December 2022.
Major construction will commence in early 2023 after the preferred contractor is selected.
Key Station Features include:

Station facilities such as station buildings, kiss ‘n’ ride zones, and taxi ranks;
Station elements such as platforms, pedestrian overpasses, vertical transport, and shelters;
Civil infrastructure such as car parks, public transport interfaces, active transport links, and road and intersection upgrades;
Shared paths within the station precinct to allow for bicycle and active transport access;
All associated passenger shelters, fencing, closed circuit television (CCTV), signage and passenger information systems; and
Ticketing gates and associated equipment.

The opportunity excludes:

Delivery of Hope Island and Merrimac stations which will be the subject of supplementary Tender opportunities.
Early works at Pimpama which started in late 2021.
