Central Otago District Council is looking to lease the Ranfurly Lucerne Paddocks.

Council is requesting proposals from Maniototo-based clubs or groups that will also return a benefit to Maniototo ratepayers.

The 31.7 ha block on Tyrone St, Ranfurly has previously been used for lucerne cropping but proposed uses are not limited to this.

The land is classified as Recreation Reserve and as such is subject to the Reserves Act 1977 section 73 – “Leasing of recreation reserves for farming, grazing, afforestation or other purposes”.
