Azure Dev-ops Engineer

⁠⁠⁠The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment is seeking DevOps Engineer resources to join the Platform Services team within the Information Services Division. The role will be working with infrastructure products and services that can provision Infrastructure as Code that can be rapidly delivered according to best practice processes and frameworks. This will help us achieve greater speed and consistency in how we provision infrastructure, increasing quality and confidence in our systems while reducing outages.

As a member of the team you will be required to support retail or business teams with a focus on helping to enable continuous integration / continuous deployment for their team, allowing us to deliver innovative, user-focused services. Activities will include, but not be limited to:

• Supporting the creation of pipelines within Azure DevOps and resource deployment and configuration in the Department's Azure Subscriptions
• Implementing CI/CD tooling and automation processes
• Developing code via a process of continuous engagement. (Agile)
• Developing automation processes within Azure
• Managing, track and document all change to the code and Infrastructure
• Troubleshooting deployment and system issues
• Working as part of a multi-discipline team to deliver outcomes to tight timeframes

Please note, flexible working arrangements are supported by the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment while COVID restrictions or staged return to workplace conditions are in place, but under normal circumstances there is an expectation that the role will be undertaken onsite in Canberra.
