Tender Description
Council is seeking experienced and qualified contractors to carry out the provision of Park Management services at two of its holiday parks: Swansea Lakeside, and Wangi Point.
Council intends to award two separate contracts:
Service A: Swansea Lakeside Holiday Park Management for a period of 3 years with
2 x 12 month extension options available to Council; and
Service B: Wangi Point Holiday Park management for a period of 12 months.
Tenderers have the option to tender for either one or both of the parks.
Swansea Lakeside Holiday Park is a large flat park located on approximately 10.8 hectares bordered by the shores of Lake Macquarie, local wetlands and the community boat ramp.
The park has 19 cabins including industry leading three bedroom and two bedroom accessible villas, two additional accessible cabins, a three bedroom cabin, 11 two bedroom cabins and three non ensuite based cabins.
Two safari tents were also recently opened. In terms of tourist caravan/camping sites the park has f our water view ensuite sites, nine standard ensuite sites, 181 powered sites and 38 unpowered sites. There are also 123 holiday van sites and nine home owner/residential sites. Communal facilities include three large amenities blocks, a recreational room, camp kitchen, four bbq shelters, a resort style pool, playground, tennis court, putt putt golf course and a basketball half court.
Boomgates are in place at the park entrance with lockable vehicle and pedestrian gates located on the lakefront foreshore area to assist in security within the park.
Wangi Point Holiday Park is located on approximately 6.25 hectares nestled between the shores of Lake Macquarie and Wangi Point Flora and Fauna Reserve. The park currently includes 12 cabins, two ensuite sites, 75 tourist sites, 64 holiday van sites and one home owner/residential site.
Communal facilities include two main amenities blocks, one with an attached camp kitchen. There are also two individual toilet units located within the park. A community childrens playground is maintained by Council in the adjoining community open space.
