TasRail is seeking the services of suitably qualified rail and civil contractor to undertake the level crossing Rail and Civil works of 4 level crossing locations Burnie, Ulverstone, Bishopsbourne and Bridgewater .
The locations are offered in 4 individual packages with two portions Rail and Signals civil works.
Key Points of Tender:
- Knowledge, experience and understanding of track works, level crossing and road civil works within the Tas Rail network
- Qualifications and experience to hand back track prior to completion of renewal works and provide safe passage of trains. .
- Two locations required precast concrete slab road crossings one location 2x 8m slabs and the other location 3x6m slabs with the two remaining requiring upgraded asphalt crossings.
- Electrical, signals, road and civil infrastructure to support the active crossing automation equipment (lights bells, site signage and pedestrian mazes at some locations. • Works incorporate existing infrastructure and services associated with the site civil works . Works are to be completed between train free windows as per Tas Rail's train timetable.
- The scope of works is to be completed by December 2022
The Scope of Works document outlines the expectations and qualifications required of participating Contractors and describes the nature of works to be undertaken. Tenderers are to demonstrate in their submission their support of Tasmanian industry and businesses as required by the Tasmanian Government Buy Local Policy and comply with TasRail's Contractor Management System.
A site inspection will be held on 11 March 2022
