NSW Government released its Electric Vehicle strategy in 2021. As per this strategy, Government will lead by example and electrify its own passenger vehicle fleet.

The EV strategy states that NSW Government will:
• Ensure that 100% of new purchases/leases of passenger fleet vehicles are fully electric by 2030 (with an interim target of 50% EV procurement by 2026)
• Setup appropriate charging infrastructure at vehicle base locations (NSW Government sites, employee homes etc). The NSW Government fleet will be supported by smart chargers (charger that has capability to be networked and monitored via a software platform) unless there is an accepted reason not to. Chargers will be well integrated to the building and the grid.
NSW Treasury is seeking participation from Respondents to help understand supply market for Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and refine fleet supply model for Electric Vehicles.
