Tender Description
SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATION
The following summary indicates the general nature of the Works for which The Principal desires Tenders to be submitted and is issued to enable Contractors to make an assessment whether the Specification documents should be obtained from The Principal for the purpose of submitting a tender response. It does not form part of the Specification and should not be included as part of the Tenderer's offer.
PURPOSE OF WORK
The Contractor must undertake the structural repairs to the mill and mill motor plinths as directed by the Principal over the next 2 years starting from May 2022 or as may be varied by the Principal due to operating requirements.
LOCATION OF SITE
The Vales Point Power Station is located on the southern shore of Lake Macquarie, approximately 130 km north of Sydney, New South Wales, and approximately 3 km off the Pacific Highway North of Doyalson.
EXTENT OF WORK
The extent of the work is for the condition assessment and associated mapping survey of the existing twelve mill and mill motor plinths which are in various states of deterioration, determining effective repair systems and carrying out the requisite repairs as directed by the Principal for each plinth to function in a serviceable and safe condition for an additional 10 years minimum.
INSPECTION OF SITE
All Tenderers must attend a mandatory pre-tender meeting to be conducted at 09.30am on 11th March 2022. Companies who do not attend the mandatory pre-tender meeting will not be eligible to submit a Tender.
Due to Site regulations because of Covd, Visitors to Site must provide the following information:
• Confirmation of vaccination status of all attendees;
o Booster received or 2 doses (with second sooner then 3mths + 6 weeks ago) – no further action;
o 2 doses (with second >3 months + 6 weeks ago) – Test required; and
o 1 dose or no doses – test required;
• If tests are required, it can be a RAT on the day or a PCR with 72 hrs of attending site. Result to be provided before the individual attends site (preferably the day before); and
• free issue of P2 masks will be provided to all personnel at the gate and must be worn the entire time whilst on site.
Note: All personnel will be denied entry to site if they don’t comply with the requirements.
Visitors to the Site must provide and wear their own safety hats, safety footwear, protective safety eyewear (clear glasses), long sleeved shirts (hi-vis) and long trousers or combination overalls (hi-vis).
It is expected that all companies have downloaded and reviewed all documents pertaining to the works prior to the site inspection.
Tenderers wishing to attend the pre-tender site inspection must contact the request manager at least 24 hours prior to the meeting to register their intention to attend
