Port Macquarie-Hastings Council (PMHC) is seeking Tenders from suitably experienced and qualified Major Civil Contractors for the construction phase of the Ocean Drive Duplication project.

The project generally involves the duplication of Ocean Drive between Matthew Flinders Drive and Greenmeadows Drive (South), Port Macquarie for about 3.4 kilometres to create two lanes in each direction, with widening generally being carried out along the western side of Ocean Drive.

A mandatory pre-tender briefing will be held 16th March 2022 and a mandatory pre-tender site inspection will also be held 23rd March 2022.

To submit a conforming tender, the Tenderer must be prequalified with Transport for NSW (TfNSW) under the National Prequalification System for Civil (Road and Bridge) Construction Contracts, at the prequalification class (or higher) – Roadworks Category R3 and Financial Category F50.

This procurement will be a formal Request for Tender via the e-Procure tendering portal and will be managed using the GC21 Edition 2 General Conditions of Contract. These tender documents are based on the TfNSW Engineering Contracts Manual.

The Tendering Local Preference Policy will not apply to this Request for Tender. Tenderers must comply with council’s CovidSafe Workplace Policy.
