The Western Australian Government is releasing a pipeline of government-owned sites for diverse housing projects, which respond to the needs of Western Australians and also create work for the construction industry as the current housing boom eases.
The Housing Diversity Pipeline ROI will deliver a series of quality mixed tenure and innovative housing developments, including social housing, across the following 9 metropolitan and 2 regional government-owned sites:
- Albany Hwy, Kelmscott
- Merrifield Ave, Kelmscott
- Zebina Street, East Perth
- Cecil Ave, Cannington
- High Wycombe
- Thomas Street, West Perth
- Gwenyfred Road, South Perth
- Brearley Ave, Redcliffe
- East Street, East Fremantle
- Brown Street, Busselton
- GreenView Estate, Kalgoorlie
The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, DevelopmentWA and Department of Communities are calling for Registrations of Interest (ROI) from developers, builders and Community Housing Providers interested in delivering diverse housing projects on these sites. Proponents can register their interest in one or multiple sites, either individually or as packages.
In addition to these sites, and as part of the Housing Diversity Pipeline Program, the WA Government is directly undertaking an expression of interest process for a site on Smith Street, Highgate. The WA Government is seeking to deliver an innovative community housing development on this site.
