Tender Description
Tas Rail is currently seeking the services of experienced, qualified and competent Contractors with rail experience to tender for Bell Bay Line track work on the Tasmanian Rail Network between Rocherlea and Long Reach in support of the Infrastructure Investment Program (IP). Key Points of Tender: .
The scope of work comprises:
- Mobilisation and demobilisation from each site . Correction of single points of failure with elevated priorities . Re-railing, and re-sleepering . Distribution, layout and recovery of materials . Renew two accommodations to the current Tas Rail Standard - Removal of fouled ballast . Traffic Management where required
• Provision of all Quality Documentation
• The Scope of Works document also outlines the expectations and
qualifications required of participating Contractors and describes the nature of works to be undertaken. • Contractors must have rail Safeworking resources to support their work. . The successful Contractors) must, where applicable, comply with the requirements of Rail Safety National Law (Tasmania) Act 2012, Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and other relevant regulations . On-site inspection: Video will be released with the Request for Tender in lieu of a physical on-site inspection

Works to be performed under this contract may be classed as a safety work as prescribed by Raf Safely National Law (Tasmania) 2012 and as such employees and for contractors performing such works must be able to meet and maintain the medical criteria for a safety critical worker health.
