Tender Description
Whitsunday Regional Council (Council) is seeking to partner with a suitably qualified consultant to undertake a critical Community resilience building project. Whitsunday Regional Council (Council) has received financial support from Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA) through the Queensland Disaster Resilience Fund (QDRF) to aid Council in developing a Floodplain Management Plan (FMP) for the Whitsunday Region. The project must meet the program guidelines identified in the Resilience and Risk Reduction Funding Guidelines 2019-20.
Council is seeking to partner with a suitably qualified consultant to develop an FMP that forms the heart of the study area’s flood risk management into the future and needs to focus on the flood risk management through identifying and assessing the existing, future, and residual risk to the region, which will vary between different locations in the floodplain.
