EST01990 USFPI Northern Territory Training Areas and Ranges Upgrades Project
The NT Training Areas and Ranges Upgrades Project scope of work is to upgrade and expand the existing facilities at Robertson Barracks Close Training Area (RCTA), Kangaroo Flats Training Area (KFTA), Mount Bundey Training Area (MBTA); and Bradshaw Field Training Area (BFTA) to support the United States Force Posture Initiatives (USFPI) and expand Defence capability within the Territory.
Invitation to Register (ITR) Interest to Tender
Sitzler has been appointed as the Managing Contractor for the above Project.
Delivery Phase works are scheduled to commence in early 2022 and be completed in 2026. A summary of the indicative scope of works includes:
•Decommissioning of select facilities and ranges,
•Upgrade of existing training area facilities,
•Construction of new facilities including range control, weapons ranges, aircraft landing sites, vehicle wash points, camps and medical facilities,
•Provision of new roads and upgrades to existing roads,
•Provision of new services infrastructure and upgrades to existing services; and
•Heavy-duty hardstands.
An Invitation to Register (ITR) Interest to tender for the KFTA and MBTA Delivery Phase Works Packages is currently live and will close on Thursday, 31 March 2022 for KFTA, and Wednesday, 30 June 2022 for MBTA.
ITR Briefings
To support understanding of the ITR and its requirements, an industry briefing will be held as follows:
•Darwin: Tuesday. 22 February 2022 3:00pm – 5:00pm (ACST), Palm B, Rydges Palmerston, Level 1, 15 Maluka Drive, Palmerston NT 0830.

The Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016 applies to the building work associated with this Project. By submitting an expression of interest in, or tender for, this Project, you will become subject to the Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016.
