Maurice Road Reconstruction

The Rural City of Murray Bridge invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of Reconstruction of Maurice Road, Monarto.

Maurice Road, Monarto; is located in a rural environment approximately 5km west of Murray Bridge, between Old Princes Highway and Netley Road (both are under the care and management of the Rural City of Murray Bridge). The road provides access for heavy vehicles to the quarry, Mobilong Prison and various other primary production operations.

Council has resolved to undertake construction and sealing works on Maurice Road as part of its Secondary Freight Route. This will provide significant benefit in providing an alternative access route to the northern sector of Murray Bridge from the Monarto area and links directly to the existing over-dimension / B-double bypass route at Cypress Terrace.

The extent of work is from Old Princes Highway to CH 1660 and includes the intersection with the Old Princes Highway (approximately 240m of new shoulder pavement construction and sealing with asphalt).
