Tender Description
Mosman Municipal Council (PO Box 211, Spit Junction NSW 2088) are undertaking an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment for proposed development at the Balmoral Promenade, Mosman NSW. The proposed development involves a lighting upgrade to support night-time pedestrian safety and accessibility along the Promenade. These works may result in the application for an Aboriginal Heritage Impact Permit (AHIP) under s90 of the National Parks & Wildlife Act 1974.
The purpose of community consultation with Aboriginal people is to assist the proposed applicant in the preparation of an AHIP application and to assist the Secretary of the Department of Premier and Cabinet in their consideration and determination of the application.
We are inviting Aboriginal people who hold cultural knowledge relevant to the determining the significance of Aboriginal object(s) and/or place(s) in the area of proposed development to register an interest in the project. If you would like to register your interest, please provide name of group/individual, nominated contact person and contact details. We are required to provide details of all Registered Aboriginal Parties to Heritage NSW and the Local Aboriginal Land Council, unless otherwise advised. Please advise us in writing in you do not wish your details to be released.
