Tender Description
The Sugarworld Adventure Park was opened in 1989. The toilet and change room facilities have not received a refurbishment since opening and are now outdated with the fixtures and fittings at the end of their life. The general arrangement of the facilities is inconvenient for patrons and has security implications.
The purpose of the tender is to seek cost and duration information from suitably qualified contractors to design and construct the refurbishment of the toilet and change room facilities based on a Council supplied concept design.
The objectives of the project are to improve the visual amenity of the facilities, provide a compliant accessible toilet, rearrange the layout of the facilities for improved function and security and to renew all fixtures and fittings.
The works will include:
1. Toilet and change room facilities design work;
2. Demolition of existing toilet and change room fixtures and fittings, doors, door frames, floors, walls and building services;
3. Modification and installation of below ground services including a plumbing and drainage installation that ensures the operation of all new and retained services and is compliant with the Plumbing Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards to provide a functional facility;
4. Installation of new engineered openings in structural walls;
5. Installation of new doors, door frames, concrete floor, walls, partitions, tiling, toilet and shower fixtures and fittings, basins, cabinetry and bench seating;
6. Installation of new flat ceilings, lighting and mechanical ventilation;
7. Operation and Maintenance Manual; and
8. Accurate As Constructed drawings.
