Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Brisbane Move is seeking EOIs from suitably qualified companies for the construction of the Fire Detection & Suppression systems within the new Adelaide St Tunnel as part of the Brisbane Metro Project.

The new tunnel is a 250m bi-directional busway tunnel that runs from the intersection of Adelaide St and North Quay to intersect with the existing Busway tunnel underneath King George Square. The tunnel comprises 2 lanes and a single long egress passage running along the length. There is a switch room, communications rooms and fire pump room located at the North Quay portal and a low point sump located near the KGS intersection point.

The proposed works are for the supply, installation, commissioning of all Fire Detection & Suppression works within the tunnel.

Partial scope submissions are not preferred and a Subcontractor being responsible for the whole of the infrastructure scope of works will be assessed favourably.

The scope of works comprises, but is not limited, to supply, installation & commissioning of the following:

o Tunnel Deluge system, including pumps, pipework, sprinklers, deluge valves and manifolds

o Tunnel Hydrant systems, including pumps, pipework, hydrant valves, hose reels and emergency equipment cabinets

o Fire Detection system, including tunnel linear heat detection system

o All smoke and heat detectors, manual call points, break glass panels etc.

o Integration of Fire system with existing KGS main fire panel

o Testing and commissioning

o As-built documentation

o O&M Documentation
