Darwin Region - Gunbalanya School - Supply Delivery Installation And Commissioning Of Astro Turf Field Rehabilitation

⁠⁠⁠The scope of works calls for the design and construction of upgrades to the Astro Turf field that will eliminate ponding issues as outlined in Attachment A ADG Prelim Report.

In addition to the supply and installation of the works, the Contractor must provide all required design documentation and approvals including:

a) Authority approvals

b) Client approvals of design documentation prior to construction commencing

c) All necessary For Construction drawings required to enable construction to commence

d) As constructed drawings

e) Safety in design report

The construction component of the works will include but are not limited to;

• Remove the existing astro turf and concrete margin along interface between astro turf and the grassed area and discard from site.

• Rip and condition the existing base course material

• Place and compact new basecourse material and grade to tie into the level of the existing basketball courts and follow the grade of the existing footpath (See ADG Investigation Report).

• Install subsoil drainage system to drain beneath the proposed new astrro turf pitch area. Subsoil drainage to outlet to batter on the downstream side of the pitch. Locally regrade outlet area to be free draining as required

• Construct concrete invert along the edge of the existing slab adjacent the administration building. The concrete invert shall fall towards and outlet to the grass land at the eastern corner of the pitch. Locally regrade outlet area to be free draining as required

• Construct concrete 200mm wide margin where the new astro turf will meet the existing grassed area.

• Lay new astro turf pitch in accordance with manufacturers specification with weed mat and underlay to be placed beneath the astro turf.

In addition tenderers must allow for:

c. Accommodation

d. EMP

e. Disposal

f. As Constructed Information.
