Provision of Building Design Services, Strathalbyn Town Hall Stage 2 Upgrade Project

⁠⁠⁠Alexandrina Council 11 Cadell St, Goolwa, SA, 5214 (the Council) invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of Building Design Services, Strathalbyn Town Hall Stage 2 Upgrade Project (the Services). The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.

1. Council is seeking to engage an experienced and qualified building design consultant/company to provide all design and design documentation for the Strathalbyn Town Hall to create a multi-functional facility catering for a diverse range of activities and events to promote social activation and improve benefits to the local and surrounding community. The Strathalbyn town hall is a local heritage listed building located at 11 High Street, Strathalbyn.
2. In November 2016 Council commenced project administration by engaging design consultants to provide a concept master plan detailing deficiencies and fit-for-purpose infrastructure needs for the hall to achieve a multi-functional facility to cater for a diverse range of activities including performing arts, social events and community gatherings.

The masterplan was designed to accommodate a flexible multi-staged program. Stage 1 was recently complete with the following works delivered:

1. Construction of new kitchen and bar facilities.
2. Provision of new dressing and green room with fit out.
3. Refurbishment of supper room.
4. Installation of new lighting and ceiling fans.
5. New stage sound system.

Following a grant funding contribution from the State Government’s Local Government Infrastructure Partnership Program, Council is now commencing the second stage of the project with included items provided in the scope and statement of requirements.

1. The successful building design company for the stage 2 works will be engaged to provide all design and design documentation including, but not limited to, all preliminaries, design documentation suitable for development approval and onsite construction.
2. The Building Design Services, Strathalbyn Town Hall Stage 2 Upgrade Project includes:

• to undertake design and building works detailed in the Project Brief and Technical Documents provided with this tender;
• this will be an exclusive contract to deliver the services;
• the term of the contract will be 12 month with no extension option;
