Design and Construction of the Casuarina Boat Harbour Boat Ramp Replacement

The purpose of the WUC is to construct a new low maintenance boat launching facility at Casuarina Boat Harbour (CBH) at Bunbury (WA).

The boat launching facility is to be comprised of 1 x floating boat holding pontoon and 2 x reinforced concrete boat ramps, with associated access infrastructure, to accommodate a variety of vessels and vessel sizes and which is designed and constructed in accordance with this Principal’s project requirements (PPR) and other relevant standards detailed herein.

Design (only) of a dinghy holding jetty is required in the PPR as per Item 6 in the Contract Sum Schedule. The dinghy holding jetty is to be comprised of 1 x floating boat holding pontoon to accommodate small tender vessels (dinghies) used to access the harbour’s swing moorings and which is designed and constructed in accordance with this PPR and other relevant standards detailed herein.

The design of the dinghy holding jetty should be of similar to the design, construction (except where alternative restraint options are appropriate), components and materials to the proposed floating boat holding pontoon of the boat ramp replacement.

The Superintendent may direct the successful Tenderer to give a detailed quotation for the construction of the dinghy holding jetty under clause 36.2 Proposed variations of the General Conditions of Contract D&C.

A decision to proceed will be made on receipt of the detailed quotation.
