Position Purpose
The OCIO is seeking an experienced hands-on ICT Contract & Vendor Manager to allow the NDIA to best leverage contract and vendor relationships deliver best of breed ICT services to both internal and external users.
The team lead by the OCIO Business Manager is responsible for resource management across the the OCIO budget (approx. $150m). Currently the division has significant number of labour hire contractors and contracts with external vendors for ICT service delivery and support; protective security and external engagement channels. The OCIO is currently with support of external vendors undertaking a major transition of its ICT environment (both internally and externally facing systems) from previous shared services arrangements to a cloud only environment.
Role
Under limited direction of the Business Manager be responsible for the “hands on” ICT Contract & Vendor Manager following duties:
• Ensure operational, functional and business objectives required by the OCIO contracts are met in a manner consistent with the terms of the contracts, and needs of the OCIO in supporting the broader agency
• Engage, and maintain positive relationships with key vendors through regular formal and informal contact on the delivery of OCIO priorities
• Coordinate and drive OCIO procurement activities in consultation with centralised procurement team and OCIO project and support teams including preparing Procurement and approval documentation.
• Develop and manage a range of stakeholder relationships to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation including the management of stakeholder expectations.
• Propose and facilitate innovation initiatives and contribute to business improvement strategies and to change in workplace practices.
• Day to day interactions with project managers and OCIO staff on vendor, contract and resource management issues.
