Tender Description
SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATION
The following summary indicates the general nature of the Works for which The Principal desires Tenders to be submitted and is issued to enable Contractors to make an assessment whether the Specification documents should be obtained from The Principal for the purpose of submitting a tender response. It does not form part of the Specification and should not be included as part of the Tenderer's offer.
PURPOSE OF WORK
The works required under this contract will cover the collection and analysis of fuel and ash samples at the Facility. LOCATION OF SITE
The Vales Point Power Station is located on the southern shore of Lake Macquarie, approximately 130 km north of Sydney, New South Wales, and approximately 3 km off the Pacific Highway North of Doyalson.
EXTENT OF WORK
The extent of the work is for:
- Daily (Monday to Friday) collection and delivery of coal samples at the Facility from mechanical conveyor samplers.
- Daily (Monday to Friday) pickup and delivery of coal, biomass and ash samples, taken and provided by the Principal, at the Facility.
- After hours collection, pickup and delivery of fuel and ash samples if required.
- Manual sampling of coal from the conveyor systems at the Facility, as per AS4264.1, if required.
- Routine analysis of fuel and ash samples using a NATA registered and accredited laboratory.
- Routine reporting on fuel and ash sample analysis results.
INSPECTION OF SITE
All Tenderers must attend a virtual mandatory pre-tender meeting to be conducted at 10.00am on 25th January 2022. Companies who do not attend the virtual mandatory pre-tender meeting will not be eligible to submit a Tender.
It is expected that all companies have downloaded and reviewed all documents pertaining to the works prior to the site inspection.
Tenderers wishing to attend the pre-tender site inspection must email the request manager at least 24 hours prior to the meeting to register their intention to attend
