Reason for Withdrawal: NOTICE TO TENDERERS: This Invitation to Offer is withdrawn as at Friday, 20 January 2022. Arts Queensland (AQ) is reviewing the current project design and believe this could result in design changes which alter the scope of the project. AQ anticipate proceeding again with the Tender at a later stage.
INVITATION TO OFFER (ITO) - AQ 029/2022 CL002 Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) Protective Awning Project
The State of Queensland represented by the Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy acting through Arts Queensland (the Principal) is seeking Tenders from Project specific PQC Eligible Tenderers (minimum PQC Level 3) to undertake the following building works:
GOMA Protective Awning Project (the Project):
- Satisfy the recommendations of the Omnii Fire Report to protect people exiting from the GOMA facility under an emergency egress as well as allowing the Department of Emergency Services access to the Fire Booster Cabinet by building a new steel awning structure to the existing loading dock entry driveway.
- Set up Gantry/Hoarding as required to maintain access to fire exits, booster cabinets, Transformer Room, etc.
- Supply and install new compliant steel clad awning including all accessories, flashings, penetrations, etc. necessary to ensure a compliant and complete weather proof installation.
- Remove Gantry/Hoardings.
The Principal intends to appoint a Head Contractor (building) in the role of Principal Contractor who will be responsible for sourcing, engaging and managing all the appropriate and required industry/trade specialised sub‑contractors required to complete the works.

SPECIAL NOTES:
Mandatory Industry Briefing (MIB) applies to this ITO and attendance is mandatory - refer applicable MIB section in ITO. Tenderers Note: DuetoCOVID-19 and safety requirements, virtual Industry Briefing session will be delivered by the Principal via Microsoft Teams.
Potential Tenderers areresponsible for ensuring appropriate MIB registration. Refer to section "Mandatory Industry Briefing" of the ITO.
Site Inspection (Optional). Site Inspection will be made available only to Tenderers who attended the MIB. Refer to section "Site Inspection" of theITO.
PQC: Potential Tenderers must be listed on the Project specific AQ 029/20202 Prequalified (PQC) System "Eligible Tenderer Report" - refer applicable "PQC Eligible Tenderer Report" section in ITO.
Financial Capacity Assessment (FCA): Potential Tenderers are advised that a FCA will be conducted as part of the Principal's evaluation process- refer applicable "FCA" section in ITO.
