Tender Description
The Council of the City of Sydney ("Council") invites tenders for the provision of Technical Support Services for the Joynton Avenue Stormwater Drainage Upgrade Contract, in accordance with this request.
The Joynton Avenue Stormwater Drainage Upgrade contract involves the detailed design and construction of stormwater lines to reduce flooding in the Green Square Urban Renewal area. In summary, the Works consist of constructing approximately 750 lineal metres of 1.8 m diameter reinforced concrete pipe, as well as shorter lengths of reinforced concrete box culverts, smaller diameter pipes, manholes and junction pits, a new Gross Pollutant Trap (GPT), connection into existing services and decommissioning of redundant pipework. The stormwater trunk drain is proposed to be installed at depths of up to 4 metres from the surface level to the top of pipe using a Tunnel Bore Machine. It will link the O'Dea Avenue trunk mains in the North with the EX-5 pit of the Green Square Stormwater Drain (GSSD) in the South which was recently delivered by the DG Alliance and located adjacent to the Gunyama Park Aquatic Centre and Ausgrid Driveway (130 Joynton Avenue, Zetland).
