Tender Description
We are calling for interested community and emerging artists to participate in the Y4Y Creative Connection Big Chair project 2022, to gain skills in leading and delivering creative art projects.
One successful lead Community Artist will be chosen to facilitate the creation of designs on a Big Chair, located at The Entrance.
The successful applicants will also be given the chance to engage young people with two community workshops to develop artwork designs based on the identity of town centres.
This opportunity also includes designing and hosting a community ‘Paint Out’ at the Colour Our Coast fun run event on Saturday 6 March 2022.
Emerging Artists looking to gain experience on a Community Art Project are encouraged to apply; with the opportunity to work with a mentor through the eMerge youth art program.

This project is linked to the Y4Y eMergent Sounds Competition, where by a QR code will be incorporated into the Big Chair artwork. This QR code will feature the Competition’s winning song and those that were shortlisted to the eMergent Songs playlist for listening while using the newly created Big Chair.
