Bright Depot Fuel Tanks Decommissioning

The Alpine Shire Council has an underground fuel storage facility located at Council’s Works Depot in Bright, Victoria. This facility is no longer in service and needs to be decommissioned in accordance with EPA Victoria regulations. The Council have resolved to abandon the underground fuel storage tanks in situ by foam filling, due to their proximity to adjacent structures.

The Alpine Shire Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to decommission the underground fuel storage tanks at the Bright depot in accordance with the Project Scope of Works documented in Section 3.2 and in accordance with AS4976-2008 Section 3 which makes specific provisions regarding procedures for decommissioning tanks that are to be taken out of service.
